Well I Am 17 and have suffered from an eating disorder for several years but now I am restrictin and have been off laxatives for nearly 2 weeks YAY!

But also I am really constipated and I think it is really slowing down my weight loss. I have only been once in the last 2 weeks, so how do I sort this problem out?

I eat a lot of fibre as a vegan and drink plenty of water.

Exercise will help, coffee just before exercise is even better.

A side note: Vegetarianism good, veganism bad. Do some research. Try looking up life expectancy.

Um, to be honest, I seriously doubt that a lack of excretion is slowing down your weight loss seeing as how I was constipated for weeks at a time in the height of my eating disorder and I still got pretty damn low. Excretion is nutrients you don’t need, so it’s not really taking anything out of you to make you lose weight. All the necessary nutrients are still in your body: proteins, fibers, carbohydrates, etc.

    To answer your question though: You can take a stool softener to help it. Also, try drinking coffee (with no flavoring). Also, if it gets really bad and nothing seems to help, try a suppository. They kinda suck and feel really awkward, but they work really well. But you shouldn’t use them often. Only as a last resort or else it’ll become a habit like laxatives.

    The solution for the people who have been bothering from constipation for a long time is below…

    Do the following at night just before when you are going to sleep…

    1. The first, take 200 grams of milk and make it hot.

    2. Now pour two teaspoons melted butter (In English: Ghee, In Hindi: घी, In Gujarati: ઘી, In Sanskrit:घृतम्) into the hot milk.

    3. Now, drink it. You can drink after make it cool.

    Do this procedure for at least a week.

    I think after that you will be very happy because you will have no constipation any more…
