  1. Love your videos. Do u happen to have a single, older family male member that shares your knowledge and interest? I am seriously looking for a male with the mindset of what you are all about. Healthy, gardening, self sustaining living. It is what we need to do!

  2. John i have actually been using the Earth Box system, which is the the original of these systems. they work great! I have 6 boxes now and I plan on getting 2 more this spring. This is in addition to my raised beds. There are actually farms (in Cal. i believe it is) that use only these in their fields. the great thing about that is with the right soil medium, they can be cert. organic on day 1!.

  3. Love this video!! Is there anyway you can post a follow up with your friend? The follow ups are some of my favorite videos. Your videos inspired me to go out and build a small 4×6 raised bed that I planted with my 2yr old son. He loves getting his little trowel and taking care of the “flowers” that he can eat lol.

  4. Hey John!

I love all you the information you share and thank you for all your time. Using a grounding wire from the soil of the potted plants to a grounding wire seems to help. Experimentation is so fun. I never understood why my plants that were not connected to the earth did not do good until I just accepted the simple truth. I have done research regarding grounding and found my assumptions hold true. I read a book called “Earthing”

  5. Great video, LOVED the outtake at the end, got a great laugh outta that one. I hope nothing was damaged. anyhoo, yes, you have definitely been my inspiration and my teacher. I grew my first garden in over 20 years last summer. I got almost all of my inspiration, education, motivation from watching your videos. You are doing a great service for so many people. There is almost nothing more satisfying than walking out into your own garden, and picking fresh food for your meals. It’s really fun to

  6. You’ve definitely got me growing John! I created my first winter/spring garden last year by watching your videos, and I’m now onto my summer garden with tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash, and herbs. All thanks to the knowledge you’ve shared through these videos.

  7. And I forgot to mention, I’ll be placing my garden containers on a covered porch that faces west and north. I’m planning to grow: Kale, collards, dandelion greens, spinach, basil, thyme, peppermint, oregano, rosemary, bee balm, and lavender.
