OMG… YES… I use essential oils all the time instead of perfume (I’m allergic to perfume). I use lavendar all the time because I personally like the smell of it, but make sure you dilute them with a carrier oil such as jojoba first otherwise it may irritate your skin. You can pretty much try any kind or combination you like, but it doesn’t last longer than perfume, sorry.
I have used lavendar for headaches, as well as orange, peppermint and sandalwood… they work for me (just depends if it’s daytime or nightime… lavendar is relaxing so if my headache is at night, it will use that, or peppermint if it’s day because it’s uplifting).
I hope some of this helps.

  1. LOL. I agree with Valstupendo wholeheartedly! (The first answerer!). My wife uses aromatherapy oils as perfume and she smells so good, seducingly attractive and attractively seducing, whatever that means. Yes, ylang ylang and lavender are good. Good for it.

    Good luck to you.

  2. Yes, plenty of people use essential oils as perfume — a few drops mixed into almond oil. [you can’t put most essential oils directly on your skin]. Lavendar and ylang ylang are fine for you to use.

Unfortunately, no, they don’t last as long as commercial perfumes because perfumes have substances in them to make them last longer.
